The Welder, Level I at Aqua-Chem is responsible for welding/assembling components and subassemblies in accordance with company standards. Working primarily in a manufacturing setting, successful candidate will work under the direction of a Manufacturing Supervisor.

Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)

Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN

Pay Range: $20.00 - $24.00/hr, Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:

• Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently 
• Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
• Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard
• Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow
• Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time.
• Perform rigging, lifting, and moving of product using cranes, forklifts, metal carts etc.
• Participate in Continuous Improvement program
• Ability to read basic weldment drawings under the supervision of a more experienced welder
• Perform other duties as required by Supervisor or Manager

Education/Experience:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Minimum of (1) one year welding in a manufacturing and/or similar environment and/or Combination Welder Diploma
• MIG and/or TIG experience

Requirements:

• Must be a U.S. Citizen
• Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs
• Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures
• Basic shop math and measurement skills
• Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings
• Able to work overtime as required
