Quality Control Technician

The Quality Control Technician at Aqua-Chem performs a variety of inspections and non-destructive tests (NDT) to ensure product compliance with company, customer, and regulatory requirements.
Schedule: Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)
Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: $26.00 - $34.00/hr | Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:
- Inspect the quality of manufactured products or subcomponents to ensure contract requirements are met
- Perform NDT (VT, PT, MT) per job specific requirements
- Verify specified dimensions of products or materials, physical properties and size of materials such as plates, sheets, structural shapes, castings, fixtures, and components produced by fabricating processes
- Compare Engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate completion of assembly
- Effectively interface with production, engineering, and sales personnel to ensure quality standards and processes are followed
- Understand and follow quality assurance systems, processes, and procedures
- Follow Company safety and security policies and procedures.
- Completes tasks/projects as assigned in a timely manner
- Upholds the company’s core values
- Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma/GED – Technical School Degree is a plus
- AWS -CWI required.
- Current Certifications in VT, PT,MT required (Level III Certifications a plus)
- Previous Government/Military Inspection experience
- Experience with ASME codes and standards.
- Pharmaceutical BPE and GxP Quality Inspection experience
- Experience with operating measuring devices (i.e. micrometer, Vernier calipers, etc.).
Requirements:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- High School Diploma/GED – Technical School Degree is a plus
- Able to work overtime as required
- Skid Built Pharma Water Room Equipment Experience
