Welder, Level II

The Welder, Level II at Aqua-Chem is responsible for welding/assembling components and subassemblies in accordance with company standards. Working primarily in a manufacturing setting, successful candidate will work under the direction of a Manufacturing Supervisor.
Schedule: (1st Shift) Monday - Thursday, 6:00am - 4:30pm (OT may be required on Friday's 6:00am - 2:30pm)
Location: Onsite; Knoxville, TN
Pay Range: $22.00 - $28.00/hr Dependent on Experience

Essential Duties:
Operate manufacturing equipment safely and efficiently
Maintain good housekeeping and clean work areas in assigned space
Comprehend and follow ISO procedures to ensure compliance with standard
Ability to set-up and operate hand and power tools common to the welding trade, such as MIG and TIG welding equipment
Move materials and/or finished products to facilitate proper flow
Demonstrate ability to meet production standards on specific assignments within required time
Perform rigging, lifting, and moving of product using cranes, forklifts, metal carts etc.
Assists in training Welder I positions
Ability to perform daily job tasks with little to no supervision
Ability to read weldment drawings with little to no guidance
Participate in Continuous Improvement program
Other duties as assigned by Manager/Supervisor.
Education/Experience:
Must be a U.S. Citizen
High School Diploma/GED required
Must be able to work up to 12 hours standing and walking on cement surfaces and will be required to regularly bend, stretch, stoop, squat, climb ladders, and climb stairs
Must be able to work in temperature ranges corresponding to the outside ambient temperatures
Basic shop math and measurement skills
Basic reading and interpretation of blueprints/drawings
Able to work overtime as required
Requirements:
Minimum of 2 years welding in a manufacturing and/or similar environment
2 - 3 years of MIG and TIG experience
